Well.... you were spot on it appearsMy bet is 2k +/- 100 DDP.
A few years back, before a partnership, you could get a Lux 12KW with 18KW of PV input for less than 3k DDP...
Just a lucky guess. I may have considered what a similar Lux unit cost to import years back... I'm guessing DDP air freight puts them closer to 2250 landed.Well.... you were spot on it appears![]()
Add another 10% next week. The ASP's I just ordered would have had $82.50 added next week. If the HEBP is $1780, it will be $1958. Unless Borick and others discount for the tariffs. With DDP that's roughly $2k each - wonder how much the hesp would be now?
Totally off grid, probably stick with the ASP's. No real advantage to a hybrid unless you wanted AC coupling which wouldn't make sense off grid. Less things to go wrong with the ASP.Hmmm... I've just started shopping again for another inverter and was gonna go ASP as this will again be fully off-grid (just bought 50 acres of ranch land). Currently packing in a battery and running my old 6000w Aims industrial for now but I have no mppt to use to charge. I saw the Grands... Don't know enough about anything other than the 6500 MPPsolar and the ASP. What are the advantages of the HESP or the HEBP of any going sans grid?
Reputation is the reason, similar to Amy at Luyan for battery cells. @42OhmsPA purchased there first and I believe SRNE referred him to Borick when he first inquired. As for support, SRNE technical assistance has been responsive, just remember they are a 12 hour difference. It seems like a lot of members use Borick on Alibaba. I'm curious why that is. I noticed that they are relatively new and small on the platform. If their "about" page is actually correct and up to date, it seems they do < $1M in revenue. Grandtech claims they do very high sales volume (a claim in a message, not listed on their webpage) with SRNE and thus their end users supposedly get better support. Any insight?
That is correct. My first ASF came from Borick but I ordered through SRNE official store on Baba. When I went to order the ASPs from Abby at SRNE she informed me the they don't sell in smaller quantities anymore and referred Borick as an authorized reseller.Reputation is the reason, similar to Amy at Luyan for battery cells. @42OhmsPA purchased there first and I believe SRNE referred him to Borick when he first inquired. Can I have the url to thst UL listing for srne?Actually I just downloaded full Excel sheet from that URL and it has all kinds of additional information not showing on energy.ca.gov webpage. It appears that *all* SRNE inverters have Intertek UL1741SB certificate dated 1/25/2024 and they were then grid approved (i.e. added to this list) on 3/11/2024, about 2 months turnaround. If SRNE folks are on top of it, I guess the inverter will be included shortly.
How much was your last batch of ASPs checking today they say 10kw 825usd/pcsAdd another 10% next week. The ASP's I just ordered would have had $82.50 added next week. If the HEBP is $1780, it will be $1958. Unless Borick and others discount for the tariffs.

But I asked for DDP and they haven't responded yet. Assuming that's before taxes and shipping...
BTW, I'm the one commenting and watching all your great YT videos.
If you have another use for the inverters or can sell them without much of a loss, I'd probably go with the ASP's. 120V inverters normally require an even number of inverters for 240V split phase power so if one of 4 goes down, you have to reduce down to 2 inverters usually. With my LV6548's, if one inverter goes down, it is either grid power or power 1/2 of the house only. It is easier in some respects paralleling 120V inverters however. The ASP's will actually take more wires and a method to combine the 120V legs.Am seriously considering switching direction from my 4x 5kw Hyp4850u100h to go with dual ASPs like you are happy with. 3 of mine are still brand new in box. I'm concerned about wall space mainly, and like the idea of reducing wiring.
Exciting! And reasonable compared to others in this category (EG4 18kpv, Solark 15k, etc.)Heard back from Borick re: the HEBP 12k. It's still a limited run, as they haven't ramped up production yet. Said if you place an order, there's about a 20 day lead for manufacturing, $1725/unit plus $600 DDP sea freight. I'd imagine air freight more since these are around 100lb each. All in all, I'd expect the per unit cost to be under $3000 to your door if you do air frieght.
I guess I was way off.I'm guessing DDP air freight puts them closer to 2250 landed.
All seems reasonable, except for the sea freight... seems a bit high.. that seems more to be the Air Freight ship fee. I would ask Borick to confirm that ship cost.. I do a fair amount of ocean freight shipping from China.. and even though your USA, vs AU and bit further.. seems high... it most likely because of the DDP.. which has built into it the customs & duties.. in the shipping price. Then being DDP most of the $600 is the customs and duties and dock fees.. which is smart way to go.. In my current country there is No DDP, and I can say, there are times I get a kick in the butt in the A$# from the Customs, Duties and Doc fees.. I recently received 180lb Inverter, Sea freight from China $164 usd.. local customs $225usd but the Dock and off load and debugging came to $725usd.. so DDP not available in this country, this 180lb box inverter cost me $1114 usd for shipping.Heard back from Borick re: the HEBP 12k. If you're looking for batteries, I can recommend EEL. Provide JK BMS (200A). I'm buying 64kWh & I'm getting ~$100/kWh (DDP to my doorstep). Can pay by credit card as well (better security) + they have been reviewed on YT by multiple battery geeks. This helped get me over the "trust" hurdle. At https://cneelbattery.myshopify.com. Hope that helps. That is correct. My first ASF came from Borick but I ordered through SRNE official store on Baba. I was chatting with Vicky earlier today about battery prices (yea I considered buying if it was close to building in price...). The attached screenshot chat was within a few minutes. ...

Only thing I could see as an advantage with the hybrids is those come with an AC breaker on output. Combiner panel or just add a DIN rail breaker inside a box below the inverter, then combine in a junction box. The HESP does have larger wiring terminals.

I also heard back from Borick. They are telling me the HEBP is not high volume production and is produced only after orders come in. They said place an order and it will be ready to ship in about 20 days.Heard back from Borick re: the HEBP 12k. It's still a limited run, as they haven't ramped up production yet. Hi@Zwy
Who have you contacted at SRNE. I tried Whatsapp and email but got crickets (it's been 1-2 weeks). Sent three emails. This is all PRE-SALES. I want to buy the SEI-10K but want to make sure everything will work as advertised (Manual's english is low quality and sometime unintelligible). So had ~20 questions (marked up on the manual in Google drive, so that they can respond via comments). But so far nothing. Any recommendations?
DDP shipping includes the broker fees and final shipping to the destination. For me, that is from CA to IA, about 1800 road miles from the port. All seems reasonable, except for the sea freight... seems a bit high.. that seems more to be the Air Freight ship fee. It is good that your able to get DDP.. in the States..
