I've powered up my new (and first) system and can't get it to power an AC load from the PV input or charge my batteries from the PV input. The system consists of a Sungold SPH6548P inverter, three EG4 LL-S server rack batteries and the solar panel arrays. The inverter recognizes both PV MPPT inputs and displays around 410-420 VDC for each string. I verified the values displayed by checking with a meter at each MPPT input on the inverter itself. The values displayed on the inverter matched the values read on the multimeter exactly. This inverter has a max MPPT working voltage of 450 VDC and a max VOC of 550 VDC. Open loop battery setup. This system will be completely off grid. I powered the system up for the first time several days ago shortly before dusk. For testing purposes, I had unlanded my water heater 10/2 from the existing grid-supplied breaker box and connected it to a new breaker in the new off-grid breaker box. Everything seemed to be working great (after dusk). The water heater load was cycling off and on, pulling around 18.7 amps AC and the inverter was cycling to supply the load using battery input (after dark). I didn't want to drain the batteries completely so I switched everything off and moved the water heater lead back to the grid box until I could test the system with solar input. Since then, I've tried on three sunny days to get the system to run using PV input with no success. Inverter parameter 01 (AC output mode) is SOL and parameter 06 (battery charge mode) is OSO. All constructive input, suggestions and questions are welcome!
