Sunny Boy. SB240 without Multigate panel

Hello..I have some solar panels and want to connect as grid-tie using Sunny Boy 240 US micro inverters..
The question is: Can I connect this microinverters direct to the grid without the Sunny Multigate that the manual indicate as link between the Sunny Boy and the grid?
