Hi all, I'm looking for a bit of advice on my setup. I have a Sunsynk 5kW inverter with two string inputs (125-500V)

I currently have 6x Aiko 455Wounted on a flat roof system facing SW in the UK with a pitch of about 15 degrees.

I'm looking to add 4x Aiko 455W on the main roof with a pitch of 40 degrees but facing SE.

Would these 4 additional panels be enough to start the inverter on a second string?

Would they be better being independent on an AC microinverter?

Could I string them together with the original 6 panels for a total of 10, but with different pitches and directions? If so, would I need optimisers on every single panel?

Thanks

4 x 33 is 132V so should fire up a MPPT but not start producing efficiently until its over 150V. So can you fit 5 panels or get 4 panels on that SE roof panels with a higher V ? . Mixing panels from different directions and angles does not work well.

Yeah, I'll see what other all black panels are available. Alternatively I'll explore the microinverter route I think.

Thanks for your input 👍🏻

The microinverter would work if sized correctly to match the panels, can't see any need for optimisers.
