I have two PV arrays, each array by six 480w panels connected to solaredge inverter. I recently purchased two jackery 5000 plus. I would like to take one of the PV array to charge jackery 5000 via high volt pv input. Is there a way to use a relay or some switch that will allow me to switch between the two ie set it up from 8am -1pm to charge one jackery unit and then swtich from 1pm to charge the other? in essence looking for something that allows to switch between two different outputs.

Thank you. This is what I am thinking. Have two wifi switch to control power going to a 5dc charger. Then using DC SSR that is rated for 25AMP, 250 VDC and which can be trigger by a 5VDC. Use wifi switch to control power ie switch one on and the other off and vice versa.

Why don’t you just plug the AC charger from the second Jackery into the AC out of the first Jackery that is being charged by the PV.
Sure there will some inefficiency with AC out back to DC into the second unit but hey, it’s free, easy and safe. Just a thought

unfortunately once you hookup the exploler 5000 to STS, which I have two hooked up not much control on charging one differently then another. If I go with charging without PV input, it does rapid draw of 3 KWH per jackery to charge, If I go with PV charging it has to be the same for both.

also another limiation is that while charging it only does pass through from grid to load and does not provide output to the load, my idea is to use my solar panels to charge jackery. right now I have solaredge that feed the grid but as jackery STS is the subpanel it does get power from main panel via solaredge but during charging it draws approx 6KWH and solar edge is only producing about 3.4kwh so it draws from the grid. option I am thinking is to split the PV array currently going to solaredge to divert it toward jackery

One compilation is that all solar panels connected to a Solar Edge inverter will have Solar Edge Optimizers.

These Optimizers cut off all production unless they receive the keep alive signal from the inverter. Then at that point the inverter communicates the output voltage as the Optimizers are buck/boost converters used to hold the string at 370vdc (? from memory, that might it be the exact right number)

got it, so I may need to remove the optimizer from this string. The other string I will keep optimizer that will be connected to solar edge.

To further complicate things, Solar Edge also has a minimum string length to get the optimizer output voltage and entire string voltage high enough. Six is probably about the minimum for any Solar Edge system. But they do publish spec sheets that will show what your Optimizers and inverter require as a minimum string.

Nevermind, I miss read your post. I thought you were talking about splitting your one string and leaving some on the inverter. But you've got multiple strings and you're looking to pull and entire string away from the Solar Edge. If so, all my above info doesn't apply
