System Monitoring

I am installing a basic solar system for battery backup, and would like to monitor the performance

I don't believe any of the devices or battery have this functionality built in. Ideally, I'd like to
be able to monitor via an app on my cell or through a web interface. I can't seem to find any
aftermarket devices to do this.

Any direction from those of you who are actually monitoring, using a easy to install system
would be so welcome.

Thanks

What type of "basic solar system" are you using? Is it a build of your own? Is it an off-the-shelf system that you purchased? If you built it, what components did you use? There are a lot of things that you know, that are relevant to your question, that you did not include in your post.

Welcome to the forums!

For a battery you probably just want a shunt (e.g., bluetooth). A lot of times the MPPT or inverter will give you data too, but if not you can put CTs (current transducers) around the wires to get the amps. Perhaps something in one of these threads might help?
