Taking the plunge, ordered from CC, Victron Quattro & EG4 Power Pro

After a few months of learning a bit about solar, I decided to order the parts and pieces for my off grid build.

1. Semi Off Grid cabin & workshop. About 1,200 SF cabin and a 1000 SF workshop.
2. Semi off grid, because I have grid power but only (2) 30amp circuits feeding it. The main panel is about 800' away and up a sketchy mountain.
I am in SoCal so there is a lot of sun all of the time.

3. Cabin will have lights, refrigerator, washing machine, ( AC in the future) most likely the DC split system. Stove, dryer, hot water heater will be running off of propane.
4. Workshop will have band saw, table saw, small hand tools.

I was on the fence about getting AIO system from EG 4, I have a small EG4 3000 EHV, but decided to go with Victron Quattros instead.

I am going to pair the Victron Quattros 10K (2x) with EG4 Powerpros, one each for now, and a Victron MPPT RS ( whenever they are back in stock at CC)
For Panels I wanted to get between 20K and 30K in panels. Where I am located during high winds, the electric company turns off grid power, so its a pain to deal with. I have a 5k HF generator that works pretty well, but my plan is to use grid power and generator power only to charge the batteries.

The two Quattos will get me 10k x 2 in inverters, and the battery capacity will be around 28k.

What is your estimated daily kWh usage?

My estimated daily kWh usage is around 12-14, I wanted to double it in battery capacity, don't have enough money at the moment to get more batteries. I don't have an EV or anything like that yet, was not planning on it, family that visits do drive EVs so some charging capacity in the future would be useful.

Great inverters, hope those eg4 batteries work as intended. Seems like with those inverters you’d need 3 batteries of that size to cover the potential draw but as long as you’re not pushing them too hard it should work. You’ll have 2x 8kw output. The 10k is VA not watts if you look at the spec sheet they 8kw continuous not 10k as the name might suggest.
