tall tubular flooded lead acid vs lifepo4

I'm upgrading my system and I want to buy new batteries, my budget can buy 2× 150Ah tall tubular lead acid battery or 1× 100Ah 24v LiFePo4 battery.
the capacity difference is big but I wasn't planning on discharging the tubular ones under 70% so It's roughly the same.
additional question: can I charge the lithium battery with a generic mppt charge controller? or do they need special controllers?

additional question #2: If I bought 2 tubular batteries and they had slightly different voltage, do I need to balance them out to connect them on series? and how to do that? I see that people sometimes talk about an equilization mode in the inverter/charger, is that the same thing? if not, can't I just connect them on parallel for a couple of days until they are balanced?
