I currently have the TH0020 crimper and have used it on smaller lugs like 6g and 8g. Seems to work on but can distort the lug a bit. Haven't tried on bigger wire/lugs.

Going to be crimping some 2g all the way up to 2/0 soon.

Was wondering if their TH0005 or TH0006 would be a better option than the indent crimper in terms of quality of crimp and ease of use?

What are your experiences with them and/or indent vs hydraulic crimpers?

Thanks

The indent crimper looks just like a hammer crimper. When cutting a wire apart at the lug, the compression of the indent crimper looks decent, but IMO, cutting a lug apart after using the hydraulic crimpers, it looks more lime a homogeneous mass. Not much to go on, but I liked it good enough to rework all the indent crimps after getting the th0005. It also comes with a lot of dies and +/- sizes.

This is what I was wondering. The hydraulic crimpers seem to do a more holistic crimp on the lug watching some videos. But was hoping there might be some insight on the whether the indent crimper is still a solid option with big wire.
