Howdy, I am planning to build small shed offgrid system. As this system will be primarly used in our shed for basic stuff as lights, small fridge and security cameras and sometimes (mainly dueing weekend) for sleepover, cooking etc. I am planning to mount 4 x 460W solar panel with all in one controller (MPP solar 3024GEW). Right now we are in the faze of building the shed but as time goes forward the overall buidling process is slow. I currently have solar panels (good price) and want to mount at least one on the roof and mount security cameras and other security stuff to it. And here I have small problem.
460W solar panel (v-tac - yhsunpro)
Vmp 35.31
Imp 13.03
Voc 41.9
Isc13.8
I bought also agm 12V 46Ah battery (temporary, for full future offgrid I am planning lifepo4 24V 300Ah battery)
As I underestand the max current to the agm should be 1/5 (or 0.2C) of capacity in this case around 9.5A.
My problem is I do not fully underestand the pwm and mppt problematic but need some temporary solar regulator for this setup (1x460 and 12V 46Ah agm).
I was looking into Powmr MPPT 12V/24V Auto 20A MPPT Solar Charge Controller. Will be overpanneling in this case okay? The max voltage which this can handle is in the norm and current is draw so it should be okay (?), right? Also what about battery charging current in this case? Or what do you suggest? I dont want to spend a lot as its temporary and will not be used after few months.
Or should I use some cheap chinese pwm regulator (12/24 30A)? From the chart this solar panel is producing around 180-200 at 12-14V which is around 15A.
Thanks! Really appreciate every input
