Terminal free cells???

The spot welders are for tinned steel, different kind of cell and busbar.
People here have built their own.
Won't work or this aluminum.

Must not do any process that puts in too much heat.

These LiFePO4 cells has soft aluminum terminals, are meant to be laser welded.

Earlier in the forum, people bought cells with tapped holes, 6 mm 1.0, 6mm depth, 4 threads.
Those were created by back-alley Chinese machinists, using a hand drill and tap. You want a stop to prevent drilling too deep. Piece of copper tube slipped over drill bit can serve (even if chuck slips, depth ends up shallower not deeper.)

Later, laser welded aluminum caps with studs attached. Some welds broke.

Me, I wanted laser welded busbars and threaded terminals having contacts that aren't native aluminum.
I bought some nice CATL 4s packs with just that.

Best thing you can do is return these cells. Unless you can have a shop laser weld proper busbars.
If you can't return, home tapped is an option. The heli-coil approach could be good to prevent wearing the soft aluminum threads.
