I would like to use my existing tesla wall connector as well as public J1772 chargers for an E bike I am building. The Ebike will be 72v 20S12P. I am adding a onboard charger that I can except 120 or 220Ac. Do you know if it is possible and what would be necessary for the chargers to recognize the connection. I am planning on having canbus communication between the charger and the BMS.

It has been a while since I converted an EV and dealt with J1772 protocol issues. There were some places that sold J1772 sockets and if I remember correctly an interface board that communicated to the EVSE that the charger was ready to accept voltage.
Try this for starters:
They have a couple of solutions to send the pilot signal to the EVSE.
