Too many projects, now where did I put that...

I bought a rubber hose cutter a few months back from my brother and used it here at home about two months ago. I went to use it this weekend and never could find it. Apparently, I put it away too well. :fp2

It is here in my toolbox, I wondered where I got a spare one of those?

I can't find my Makita 18 volt impact driver. Figures it would have had the one 4 amp hour battery in it before it wandered off. It's been over 9 months in mystery land but I'm sure it will show up some day.

I have that too, and I don't have any battery Makita tool... I think we have solved the mystery - all the tools the rest of you have lost are in my garage.... I wish you would come get them out so I can find my tools.

I was working in a rental house and when I left, my two week old hammer drill couldn't be located (I had used it inside). It's not about the $200, and I don't have any presentable proof, but this definitely impacted my relationship with this family until I sold the place.

15 years ago I was brainstorming where I could hide a gun incase someone broke in..

I decided to hide a ( let’s just call it a Russian rifle) ..
So I did…I felt confident it was safe…

Months later I went looking for it only to find I couldn’t find it…
Where did it go…?
Did Russian operatives steal it… ?

After a while I reported it stolen to the police .. ya have to…

They reported it to the ATF.. ..they have to…

About a year later my wife’s family was coming to visit…

She said I need to fold out the sofa that has a bed in it…

When I did , the gun flopped out in the floor from between the folding parts…duhhhh..

If that can happen to a 3 ft rifle , think how many little things I still have that I think I lost somehow..

A man needs to live a simpler life , with fewer things …

Seriously …

I discovered the Guaranteed best way to find a missing tool...
Buy a brand new one to replace it. BAM !! you find the missing one immediately.

I bought a new tool a few months ago, to replace one that no matter how hard I looked, just couldn't locate it.
So yeah, I decide, better put this one in a good safe place, and next time I will know EXACTLY where to look...for...it...damn, found the missing one.
Ok, getting old SUCKS.

NO, you only find the old one a few days after the return period has expired and packaging of the new one is gone

Why is there an inverse relationship between the need to find a tool and its availability?

Wow! A mystery tool vortex. I need one of those.
Oh, BTW I'll gladly pay shipping for my impact driver. :)

I really like the little knipex cobra channelox style pliers about 4"long, great tool but being so small I'm on my 6th pair now the other five seem to have been swallowed by the vortex....

OK. Perhaps I am the only one. I have more than one project going on right now. Between a bathroom remodel and a portable build I have tools distributed in creative places to help me get things done. As a result the neat and orderly has well, sort of lost its place.

Currently looking for a wire stripper I picked up recently. It is someplace. Now if I can just place my hands on it.

OK. Found it. Now to get that component. Gosh, now I need to make another trip to the big box store for a ...

Not sure if anyone else has experienced th

Boxes of bolts that never get sorted, numerous tape measures, always like those multi compartment clear boxes from the hardware, but then they turn out not to be the right size so I get 4 more, screwdriver sets to replace screwdriver sets, drill bits by the hundreds cos I always need the one that got lost or broken, why am here? What was it I was doing, where's my glasses. Why didn't I make a note of the things I wanted cos now I am in the store and don't know why...... Arrrgh

Starting to clean out garage for the umpteenth time. It's a lot of fun finding those " so that's where I put that!" Or what the heck is this?, and where did I get it from?
Another fun part is the contest between me and a freind on how much space we have on our work bench. I think I have him beat this time. I have 2' by 3'.

I have s**t piled up on my workbenches 2 feet deep, every square inch is covered. If it weren't for the tailgate on my truck I wouldn't have anywhere to work. It's totally out of control.

I'm going to put this here so I can put it away later.
I'm going to put this here because I don't know where to put it.

Either excuse is why my workbench isn't much for working on. If there's a horizontal area in my garage, it's got stuff on it that's been there for a while.
