I received several 230 ah prismatics from Batteryfinds and the measured voltage was 3.295 +/- .002. As a top balance trial, I connected a single cell to a Longwei 3010DF to take to voltage to 3.65 in several steps. I set up the Longwei for 3.40, turned off the PS, connected the cell and turned on the PS. The voltage displayed 3.41 with a current of 0.98 but the current continued rising and randomly varies from 1.52 to 1.76. I was expecting over time for the current to be constant and to decrease to 0 but I do not observe that trend. Also, the PS's fan cycles and during that time the current seems to decrease. What is the experience of others with the Longwei and with top balancing in this fashion? Thank you.

Are you hard wired at both ends with ring terminals? Or are you using the plug in banana plugs? Those and alligator clips are not reliable connections. Have you used the PS to charge anything else?
