Hi there

Total newbie here, I have followed Will's excellent PDF article on top balancing my cells (4 x 280Ah Blmpow cells) all has gone well and got all the cells to 3.65V (14.60V) after four days. I went cautious and initially went to 3.60v then babysat them to 3.65V. All good.

Today, a day later after top balancing them i put a voltmeter across the battery after connecting the cells in series and the voltage reads 14.00V but the cells are now reading:

Cell 1: 3.52V
Cell 2: 3.48V
Cell 3: 3.48V
Cell 4: 3.52V

Is this normal or should i put them back on the power supply to bring them back up? Other than that everything is good.

A picture at the start of the top balancing:

Looks fine. Time to put the battery in service. What voltage will the battery get charged to on a regular basis?

So I manually balanced eight new 12 V 100 amp hour lpo4 batteries to within .01, waitted a day re- checked, then put them on the inverter for their first bulk charge.
I'm guessing they were not 12 volt batteries but actually 3.2 volt cells, confirm?
If you are talking about batteries then you should post a new thread.
