Hi everyone. Any pointers when installing a 3 way manual transfer switch as part of my solar setup for our 50A RV what guage wire I should be using on the switch. 10AWG works well but 6AWG does not.
Generally 50 amp RV uses #6 for the main power feed. I believe #8 is OK for a short connection.
#10 is inadequate unless this is a branch circuit with a 30 amp or less breaker.
I would try #6 solid or stranded to see if the fit is better.
