Transfer Switch Working Partially?

Some guy wired a transfer switch to my 5th wheel that plugs into my solar generator. Grid went down last night and after turning on my generator, I noticed only the GFI outlets worked. None of the 120V lights and standard outlets worked. After the grid came back on, I plugged the camper directly into the solar generator and everything worked as it should. Guy who installed it says the switch can't go out partially. Any ideas? Thx!

Sounds like circuits are bypassed in the transfer switch. Get the installer back out to explain.

Does the transfer switch have circuit breakers in it for each load?

Installer may be incorrect… because you have the proof it is happening…
