I'm planning a new 10k install on my home. 25 400watt panels, iq8+ micro inverters, enphase combiner etc.
I have a couple of questions.
I have a "W" shape concrete tile roof. There is a mounting system that mounts to the tiles rather than the roof framing. UL approved (they glue the tiles together next to the tile the mount is secured to). I'm in So. Cal. It doesn't get real windy. I contacted the manufacturer who said they are installing them all over the Las Vegas area. Anyone have experience with them?
2nd question. I'd like to run the AC wire from the micro inverters to the combiner box through the attic. Would like to use #12 romex. Any problem with that?
Question 3: I've seen junction boxes on the roof, but I'd rather put it in the attic. Is that OK? And what kind of transition do I use?
