Hello all .
To shut off the inverter, page 86 of its manual shows to
- First turn off the DC switch,
- Second turn off the back-feed circuit breaker at the house panel

If later, I want to turn the system on again; page 85 shows to
- First turn on the back feed circuit breaker at the house panel,
- Second turn the DC disconnect to on,
- Third turn the AC bypass to INV,

At what moment in the turning off sequence was the AC bypass switch touched to deserve action when turning back on ?

Can anyone explain in foolproof wording what the AC bypass selector does, exactly ?

Am running with no batteries. Just PV panels, no 'protected' circuits.
PV----------------->H6--------------->outsideACdisconnect------------->breaker----------->mains

Let me attempt to answer this part with my own guess; and spank me, agree or rectify :

The AC selector in INV position feeds AC from the inverter output to the home 'protected' loads.
The AC selector in BYP position feeds AC from the grid to the 'protected' loads in the home.

The 'protected' loads in the home are served first priority by the inverter output as long as the inverter is producing enough energy. Only excess is injected to the grid.
The AC disconnect switch is not enabled and functionless if there is no 'protected' circuits connected. :cautious:
