At early design phase for whole home system.

My first stumbling block is how to design a ground base system which would tie into two 200 AMP Service Panels. (I have 400 AMP service to home, and home is split up into two service circuits. And to make it more challenging, each Service Panel has a Generac Transfer switch for a 23kWh propane generator.

I am assuming I could run solar arrays into 2 to 4 hybrid inverters in parallel which feeds battery rack, and the four hybrid inverters would connect to ? and how?

Inverters sit between meter and first split.

Determine your actual peak usage. If less than 200a peak and 160a continuous, then something like the Gridboss may make your life easier.

Otherwise there will be a lot of 4/0 wire to hook everything up in parallel. All the inverters need a 200a grid feed and 200a connection to load. Battery connection is common, and 275a to each inverter.

With the gridboss, 70a connections to inverters are used.

Or, you can build separate systems for each panel. You could have a common battery bank to share power between the two when grid is down. Whichever panel has smaller loads, you can put an external CT so one inverter can help the other when grid is up.

Here is a diagram for using solar feeding both panels.

I have a 400 amp 2 panel service and have opted to service just one 200 amp panel as trying to service hvac strip heat is pointless for me.
