No reason to apologize. I think most people would agree with you. This thread has been tongue in cheek about what you can do in a Texas oilfield on a rental trailer with a 2 x 12, a concrete block, a piece of foam and a cheap window AC, in ten minutes of time. That of course does not include the time it took to go to the closest Home Depot and buy that AC. ;)
 
Natural convection is a pitifully weak "force," and it would be decimated by this $17.88 monster on low aimed wherever the hell you like:

Power use is about 40W.

An installation is as good as how well it meets the goals of its installers/users. Given the criteria, I'd say it's as close to perfect as it gets.
