The title almost sounds like I got either a race team, a huge setup... but in reality... I just got my normal luck.

What will be replaced, and what it will be replaced with will be revealed later, but after the first measurements it is clear I need to change more than just one thing.

I had hoped to be able to squeeze it in, but wires would be very difficult to do then, so the fuses needs to be moved somewhere else, unless I modify the cable tray arrangement. Sadly that will cause me even more work, as I then also need to move the distribution board in the right bottom corner of the image, otherwise the distances below would look strange. So I am considering moving the PV fuses back into the distribution board, almost like I had before, but with some improvements.

So far this is all I got, more will be added as I progress with the project.

Progress is a bit slower than expected, but maybe I will get some more stuff done during the Christmas holidays.

A little more progress, now when the temperature starts going a bit up again.

So far I have been using a hydraulic crimp tool to squeeze the cable logs onto the cables, but I hated not being able to inspect the crimp, other than just pulling on the connection.

Today I received a new tool, and the first test was on the PV wires. Two strong connections, and some heat shrink with glue to finish it off.

As a complete shocker, this is going to be "Upgrades during 2025 season"........ anyways

I am adding a few panels, but my old panels are 35mm thick, and the new ones are only 30mm. My OCD wouldn't like to see that difference, so I made some spacers. The hole matches the bolt for the clamps, and to keep them in place while positioning the panels on top, they are made to also fit into the grove in the rail. The two short ones are for where the 35mm and 30mm meet.
