Used EV Vehicle Battery as Solar Storage

Fine, if you have the entire EV to start with..and space to keep it and so on.

Some of the new EV’s make this really easy with V2L (vehicle to load) functionality.
Normally you gotta have a car to commute.

A hybrid would even be better for V2L. Once the battery is drained the engine auto starts and recharges the batteries.

Think the Bolt is the 2000's version of the Ford Pinto lol
I have a question. I agree that the ev batteries are a fire hazard. What if they were used away from the house in the pv high voltage lines. The new controllers/inverters can handle 500-600 volts, so it could charge directly from the solar panels and discharge when the panels dip in power below the ev battery?

Years ago, Prius batteries were connected to Sunny Boy inverters something like that.
There are high voltage battery inverters like Sunny Boy Storage which are bidirectional, seem like a good fit. The trick will be interfacing BMS to inverter (protocols)

You can't just charge directly from PV panels because it must be regulated to what batteries will accept. Battery also needs a BMS.

Many people interface various EV batteries to a BMS for 48V inverters. Readily available SCC, BMS, inverter. There are BMS for high voltage inverters (and maybe you can communicate with original EV BMS.)
