Using a shunt/monitor to track daily Ah?

My SCC tracks and displays daily production in kWh, but since the battery voltage changed during the charge cycle and there are losses in the wiring between the SCC and the battery, I’m interested to independently track daily production in Ah.

So I’m thinking of picking up a budget 100A shunt and battery monitor Ike this: https://www.amazon.com/Multifunctio...face6&pd_rd_wg=DJkYS&pd_rd_i=B07T8GN61Z&psc=1

While I understand these monitors are intended to be connected to battery ground, I’m considering placing my shunt between the SSC and the ground busbar so that’s it’s only tracking Ah in from the SCC and not also tracking Ah consumed by loads.

Would appreciate to understand whether anyone else out there uses a shunt/monitor in this way as well as whether there are any other members using these cheapo shunt/monitors (in which case feedback on how well they work appreciated).
