Using Renogy DC-DC MPPT Charge Controller with AC

I need the ability to deploy battery powered IoT edge computing units (12VDC input) to remote sites which may or may not allow for use of solar panels, so either the units will solely run on battery power or be supplemented with solar power. These units will be on site for up to a week at a time and I need the ability to charge them via AC before they're redeployed somewhere else.

After searching around, I found this charge controller which seems to be a good candidate for my specific use case since it can use a car alternator as a power source. It seems like I should be able to use a 15V AC-DC adapter as a stand in for a car's alternator, but would like to get a second opinion from people with more expertise in the field before moving forward with this. I'm locked into using a 100WH Renogy LiFePo4 Deep Cycle Smart Battery, so I'm assuming that using one of their charge controllers is the best option.

I appreciate any input, feedback, or help

The charge controller you link has two different features... not sure why you need both.

I regularly feed my Victron 100/30 with a 0-30V/0-10A power supply into the PV input (in fact, I have NEVER put a PV panel on it). The only requirements are that the DC-PV in needs to be +5V above battery to start and +1V above battery to continue.

Not really. Consider other battery options and more professional chargers.
If you want to charge from AC use Victron IP22 charger or if weather proofing is needed , Victron IP 67 charger.
If you want to charge from solar, use a Victron Smart Solar charger.
If you want to charge from a car alternator, use a Victron Orion TR Smart 30A, or a Orion XS 50A.
It's probable you will need data on the charge process and be able make changes to the charge profile. Victron products allow this over the built in Bluetooth communication link to the Victron connect app.
I am guessing a 100 or 200 watt solar panel, this controller,
AC charger,
