So I bought some 310 AH Varicore batteries. There was a Barcode that opens there website but has nothing to do with these batteries. It also says scratch on them. I thought it might of meant scratch and dent or something. I saw on a post it said he saw the word scratch and scratched that location and it had a number under it. What do you know it does… now I can not find anyplace that references that number and the site does not even show selling these batteries. Has anyone found anything on them? I think someone said they may be another brand rebranded? Anyone find out anything let me know.

First time Ive seen cells with this type of "protection" Ive yet to see any reports of fake/knock off cells that are not just repackaged used cells.

Not sure what you mean by protection? If you mean the vents I have seen some like them. Any info would be nice. It is weird the add did not say the weight but they are all about 11 lbs. seems light for 310 AH…

"protection" as in scratch off serial numbers to prevent knock off / fakes. Someone must be faking the barcodes most of us deal with.

I have tested the 310 ah ones I got and looks like about 280-290 on the 2 tests I ran. I guess I am ok with them. I do not see much swelling. Maybe 1 or 2 are a little. I just have them in service now so they just run. No issues but am keeping them in a safe range. AveRage Joe had some Ruipu 280ah from alibaba that he said was great. Not sure if they just sent the best to him to test and have not heard more about them. Maybe it it time to try that. I think they were somewhat cheaper too. Good luck whatever way you go.

Have a look under the black plastic top cover. You'll likely find the "scratched" off barcode

Hello Jim1033,

did you have a look under the black plastic? I'm curious about the bar code!

I realized that you scratch the tab to see the code from varicore. I do not think I ever removed the black on the top or if I did there was nothing there. I am sure they are rerapped grade B cells. They have never went to full voltage or at least held it. I have been using them for about a year and are ok. I bought some good 230 AH and they go to full voltage and stay there. I think I tested to like 285 AH on the low ones. It is ok for what I paid. What I am interested in is some of the $20 ones that say 310 AH. I bought a batch. Even if they are 200 AH I think it will be worth it. Lol…

I’m more impressed of the insulation used to keep that Daly BMS from shorting out on the cell terminals.

Sketchy AF!!!

If you bought cells for $20 each on aliexpress then you've probably fallen for one of the many scam sellers there.
Let us know if you ever get any cells from them!

Lol yea right… ? it is much better now. Well, ok a little better. It is hanging off the side… I am about to redo everything and get it all enclosed.

So I went a little crazy. I bought what said 12 cells for $6 x 2 so $12 for 24 230 AH cells. I am expecting a package of buss bars / or some crazy leaking cells that look like a balloon or something. Lol. I also got 8 of the $20 310 AH cells they both say they have shipped the next day. I bet if I get anything they are crap. But if I even get one ok cell it would be worth it. If I get the 8 $20 cells and they are like 100 AH and 1000 cycles left it is worth it. I recently spent $2430 on 24 x 230 AH from Daisy with efest docan power they should be new cells. That is who everyone here says to use. Will keep you posted.

Another side note. Has anyone seen the pricing? It may be 100 for 2 cells $250 for 4 $700 for 8 why would you spend more per cell just order more quantity. Unless it is the pairing or something. That is kind or what happens with the 12 cells for $6 the 4 price was $7 the 8 price was $250 the 12 price was the $6 and the 16 price was like $350… the only other thing I was expecting would be some weird import tax that cost me $800 to get them out of customs. I was really just playing at that point. I spent $12 on lunch yesterday… ? will let you know…
