I have the chance to buy a used Victron 150/70 blue solar MPPT (metal cased version) but it's steering away from my (x2) SCC setup I was thinking of doing. I have 8x230w panels VOC-36.5v approx. What arrangement do I now adopt for this single MPPT setup if I buy it..?? With the (x2) MPPT setup it was 2s2p(x2) . Again I've gone a tad flakey on array setup. It will be used in conjunction with a Victron MultiPlus Inverter Charger 24/3000/70-50 230V.

Metal cased version?

2S4P. 3S would work for Voc, but not 8 panels.

70*24 = 1680W, and it can probably do a little more than that.

8* 230 = 1840W

Slightly over-paneled. Looks good to me.

You didn't say what voltage your battery pack is.
Edit, derp, I see a 24v on the inverter. yeah you're good. I run 1200w of panels at 60v on my setup with a 150/45
