Victron is Over-priced Eurotrash. Why would anybody buy Victron over an AiO?

Yes. However, if it comes back on, and the ecoflow immediately starts draining it, and it shuts back down three times in a row, it must be manually cycled.

A Victron MPPT can work batteryless, so they should even wake up a LFP battery in protection mode.

Is your VRM up and running?
The VRM is not up. The ecoflow is though.

Wonder if you could get one of those remote toggle/switch doohickies, powered by the ecoflow, so he can remote reset the toggle switch? I've never tried to reset after lv shutdown by going from 1 to 2 directly thru off,i usually go to off, then back to I

Would upgrading to a multiplus instead of a phoenix make a difference? Or is there something I could do with the settings next time I am up there?

May be able to drop the charge detect voltage setting to lower than default of 56V in the pheonix settings to pull it out of its three tries and shutdown state by itself, at say 52V, going forward. Can't adjust when its powered off tho.

Read a thread over on the Victron Community that the Cerbo GX doesn't know how to handle more than one Orion XS on the network. It gets "confused".

Can you link a thread to that discussion please if you get a chance? I looked but found a thread on someone using two - one for the starter battery and the other for the house batteries having issues and that kinda make sense. One charging while the vehicle is on and the other when the vehicle is off and I can see how that can cause some issues and getting the Cerbo confused with different voltages.

I’ve been running two 50A Orions XS’ in parallel since last spring and no issues with the Cerbo GX getting confused. However, what did happen a few times before some updates was that I would loose connection to one at random times. I had to reset it so that it would reconnect. No issues since then. Since I don’t trust any engine detection device based on voltage, I wired both of mine to the Sprinter D+ wire to only come on when the ignition is turned on and off when the engine is off.

I’m just curious if what you read is recent as I’ve had the Sprinter van apart for a few weeks now as I’m redoing some things in it and don’t want to run into any new issues when I reconnect it everything back up in another few weeks.

If I have a BMS with can designed to communicate with victron and a Raspberry pi. Is there an easy way to connect them? Gpio pins?

Which BMS? I think there’s some URT or RS485 usb converters plus some plug ins for the Venus to work.

I have two JBD 8s, and a rapi and have been tossing around the idea of adding them (only for cell monitoring/reporting not closed loop control of the MPPT).

Saturday night peep show. Grabbed two 125A breakers for the 250/100 and 450/100 positives to match my hawkes bay breaker box, I have 150A 80V megafuses in the distributor for them but will be nice to have actual disconnect capabilites as well. 10k aic rating not a class t or mnedc175/250 but better than a mega I guess. Prevent the big arc Crowz encountered when he installed his 250.

Also got the wireboxes, definitely makes the wire retention so much more solid versus bare install. Wish they came with the sccs but this is Victron after all lol.

That wire guard looks way more robust than Ive seen on the smaller units.

How does the conductors attach to the metal back plate? Zip tie?

There's a plastic wire guide/hold down that snaps into place and then two plastic plates screw down once cables are in place, one plate for batteries and one for the pv.

It was for a discharge test of epoch battery.
Too Much Hastle for what's its worth.

I think I'm going to use a midnite big baby box to hold the battery and pv breaker and that can bridge the gap to distributor

The new 2KW hydro turbine I just took shipment of had one of those MN BigBaby boxes for a couple of breakers for that system. Tiny little thing.
