W028 Overload 6000XP idling with fully charged battery and loads of solar

Theoretically two should be able to provide up to 91.6 amps for 5 seconds. That's the published spec. But that's way past their continuous rated output. I would put a soft start on your A/C for longevity reasons. Besides what else may be drawing power at the same time?

or you can get an LF inverter and not buy the soft start.... schneider has a sale going on...

A discontinued product. No thanks. While a quality product you'll receive zero software development and eventually no real support or repairs. Most importantly the op is already invested.
uhmm OK so they got new gear out spend a little more and get what you are complaining about... money talks... BS ends up in the up in smoke section

Thx, I don't see a lot of chatter on it except that it will reboot when half done and disconnect power to the router causing issues for some to get the install finished. I like to see lots of "no issue" posts before I commit to firmware updates.

Well...changing the firmware on a running system.....the thought that comes to mind is "if you don't have anything good to say......don't"

Yeah it's strange. It downloads, updates, reboots, waits 5 minutes, downloads, updates, restarts and tells you that you have no battery.
It loses some settings.

From the EG4 website? I only use my android phone. It works every time without drama. I use my phones internet connection (to download the firmware) and the bluetooth connection to the inverter. Doesn't expose the inverters to the internet at all. It does reset the inverter when done but you still need to reboot it yourself to get the Chinese happy face.

From the monitor PC app./website.

I initiated it via https://monitor.eg4electronics.com/WManage/web/maintain/remoteSetOffGrid
Using desktop mode in a browser on my phone.

The new EG4 app is junk and wont let you update from it via internet anymore..

EDIT:

I guess there is a "new" and "old" settings page on android now.

I never saw it before

I only use the local google store app. I don't browse to the EG4 website. After you load the local settings the largest icon there is " Update Firmware"
It takes a few minutes to download the firmware (with a progress bar) and then the inverter keeps blinking the ready light until complete. One restart and you are done. I did turn off the eps switches on both inverters while I updated. I had switched all my loads to grid before getting started.
