Some have been waiting for the IQ8 for a while, myself included. Probably a good thing as I’ve used the time to learn.
Here’s my question, when the IQ8 is out, am I going to be able to DIY panels/IQ8s, combiner, inverter/charger (e.g. Quattro), and store bought or diy 48 volt batteries (expandable as needed).
Or, are the control systems and communications systems between the IQ8, the Quattro and the batteries going to require a PhD in rocket surgery?
I‘d rather not wait another 6 months to start gathering components only to find out that the preferred system was not available in real life. If I go “traditional” I could get moving today and have power by the summer.
What do you guys think?
