Warning Cheep wire results

Although this application isnt a solar project, it serves as a warning about cheep wire. This is 4 gage wire that came with a wench I purchased for a UTV. Its was cut from The center of a five foot section. The wire is about 1 year old and was never wet. When the the wench was trying to run, the wire Completely dropped the 12 volt across it.

That looks like a severe case of corrosion.

I considered going lowbrow on this, but everything I came up with was just too extreme.
