Hi all,
I'm looking at using a weatherproof Pelican type case for my (16) 50Ah batteries, bms and victron 75/15. I have a few questions about doing this since it will live in the bed of my truck for weeks at a time between 40F and 110F. I'm basically making a solar generator for 12V
I'm considering putting all 3 pieces in the case together hard mounting the BMS and victron on the ptfe. with a solar input and 12V power out.
1.Thoughts on the need to mount an exhaust fan to heat dissipation?
2. Can the batteries be safely stored on their side (narrowest side down)?
3. what are the chances of fire using normal PNP foam?
4. What else am I forgetting?

Feedback is much appreciated.

15Amps isn’t much for charging 200Ah...
I suppose that depends on the use case. ~ 750W/day is roughly 1/3 of the battery with reasonable DoD settings. Allowing for real-world use, if I get that much power every two days, my power requirements would be addressed indefinitely. Unfortunately, the real world gives you several days at a time with no ability to generate power with solar. So I plan for that.
