I apologize if this has been discussed and i can't find it, please share link. I have a Ford F250 with 2 OEM upfitter switches and fused relay circuits available each circuit is rated/ fused at 40 amps. I have installed a 40 amp Renogy B2B charger in the trailer next to the LiFePo4 battery. i will be running 2 gage wire from the trucks engine compartment upfitter relays to the charger in the trailer, with a anderson 175 amp disconnect plug at the rear of truck, mated to another anderson plug and cord set, feeding the trailer. Ok here is the dumb question for the day, do i need to worry about water potential short circuiting at the plugs during a rainstorm? Technically rain water has zero conductivity. Any electrical engineers care to comment?
