Welding Issues with my solar inverter with an inverter Style welder ESAB rebel emp 215ic

I've been welding with a Transformer base welder 120-volt Flux core Hobart welder on my solar and it works great on mine. Still, I wanted something more efficient so I went with the esab Rebel inverter Style welder. It also has a power factor correction so it's supposed to be very efficient works on my cheap 4 KW generator and my neighbors who are on the grid work great there. Still, it will not run on my Very expensive 4KW Magnum pure sine wave inverter I can't run it on 120 volts or 240 volts I am just wondering why does anyone have any theories?

Problems like it won't strike an arc, won't maintain an arc, no penetration? Running 035 flux core or something fancier?

I've run my Harbor Freight Titanium off my Growatt 3kw AIO a few times without a hitch, your Magnum should have no issue doing it. Maybe something weird with the ground bond?

Assuming its not what timselectric said, we really need a better explanation of what you’re experiencing.

Ive run inverter and transformer based welders off my Growatts without issue.

welding with Flux core 120v and 230v can strike an ark for about 2 to 5 seconds then I get the error code on the welder

this summer I did have a strange issue happen with the inverter that I can't explain I had this curling iron that the light would come on but it wouldn't heat up, I brought it to grid power and it worked just fine, that is only strange things ever happened with this inverter
had it for 5 years

Most Inverter based equipment will verify that a ground exists, before it will operate. I would check to see if your system is grounded or not.
I tried it on my 120 volt 20 amp receptacle that I use with my Transformer base welder that receptacle is grounded probably and I still get the same err on the welder

It's probably the welder that doesn't like something that's coming from the invert that's causing it to shut down

I am wondering if someone else has an ESAB inverter welder with power factor correction if they are using it successfully
