Newbie to solar. I bought a used solar system (sunrun solaredge inverter (se6000a-us) with 19 lg 330w panels, racks and cables with 19 solar edge power optimizers. (P370 model) off Facebook marketplace in Texas for $2000.
I plan to try to piece everything on my lawn to make sure it all works before mounting anything on a roof.
However I feel like I’m still missing some parts..
The cables have connectors (MC4?) that probably aren’t supposed to feed directly into the se6000a because I don’t see any obvious port for that. Do i need some sort of adapter? Or do I need a dc combiner box to terminate the PV strings before connecting to the solaredge inverter?
2nd question: The seller mentioned I’d eventually need to replace the inverter.. so if I expand and buy, say, an eg4 18k inverter in the future, is it true that I would need to get rid of the power optimizers?
