What data do the Eg4 server rack batteries share with a Cerbo?

Ordering 3 batteries and a new multiplus this month and and am wondering how much information the cerbo can interpret when
connected to a Eg4 server rack. If not only basic data passes between the two I am inclined to go to the LL batteries that have a screen for easy access to data.

It is my understanding that with a laptop, all data can be viewed with all the Eg4 server rack batteries. Hoped to get some useful info over the VRM and avoid constantly hook up the laptop in the first few months as things settle in.

You can run closed loop or open loop via CAN bus.
I choose to run open loop and let my Victron SmartShunt determine SoC.
Nevertheless, I log the info from the batteries and see it all in VRM.

When you hit 100% SoC, you usually get an overvoltage alarm which is annoying.

Other than that it works well. I have EG4-LL v1s.
Should be the same for v2s and LL-s.
LifePower may be different, not sure.

Sadly no, everything is aggregated into a single battery.

In my case, the three batteries show up as 300Ah.
However, it will tell you how many “modules” are online/offline.
And you cannot get individual battery cell voltages, you need the built-in battery screen for that.
Just min/max cell voltage over all three batteries.
Note my lowest and highest voltage cells are from different “packs”.
“pack” = “module” = single rackmount battery

Ah ok. That is unfortunate, but still helpful information.

I wonder if there is another option for easy access, this does make we want to just spend the extra $100 a battery for the screens. It does say "LCD" below the USB port on the new V2 lifepower. But the manual states that port as "reserved"

Can’t help you on Lifepower, hopefully someone can enlighten us.

If I were buying today, it would be LL-S for the screen and UL.

If you get things working and set up ssh command line into the Cerbo, run

dbus-spy

and you will see all data going into the Cerbo via dbus, perhaps some data not displayed in the GUI.
