I would be guessing, but when the Wh number hits the threshold of the battery. 1280Wh would be empty, most of us leave a percentage in the bank, so, 640?

What matters most with SLA is recharge time. If during the day, you can recover back to 100% you can go into the 80% DOD, but, it will reduce the cycle life of the battery.
A 100Ah SLAShould have 1280Wh total.
50%DODwould be half that, or 640Wh.
When the meter shows 640, you have hit the recommended limit of the battery.
