What is electricity useful for if you have land?

Since I upgraded from 12 to 52kWh, I've been leaving lights on in outbuildings to keep mice away. Working well. Funnily enough, one place I've been controlling is the exposed bus bar for the batteries.

That's the kind of thing that makes me nervous, after having a frog immolate itself on a golf cart terminal (and produce enough heat that the battery was somewhat damaged).
a few more details would be nice... you can't jsut start out with this as the lead in and not explain it in detail...how in the world would a frog catch on fire? I mean whats the voltage on a golf cart 48?

Yup, 48V, but T-145 batteries, so hundreds of amps available. I don't have any listings for the resistivity of a frog, but it certainly exceeded the ampacity by a large amount. I can probably get pictures next week (after the 23rd) if someone reminds me. Of the battery terminals, not the frog, not much left of that.

I wasn't there, just came back to a carbonized short between the battery terminal and the frame, and the battery looking pretty unhappy.

wow the circumstances had to be just right I would imagine... a wet slimy frog and full charged, or better yet with the charger plugged in trying to stuff those last couple of amps into a FLA battery..

Stick the probes of your multimeter in one and let us know what you get. 🤣

Now, the revenue man wanted grandaddy bad
Headed up the holler with everything he had
'Fore my time, well, I've been told
He never come back from Copperhead Road
No electricity needed when you have dogs

I'm different in that I feel it's my responsibility to protect my, dogs (even if they are Boerboels) not their responsibility to protect me, so electricity for my cameras and alarms it is.

I don’t think the frog wants to get treated like a human at close encounters of the third kind scenario…. That chirping you hear is the frog saying Alex was wrong I am not ghey and I don’t want the anal probe!

Also, back to the OP, an outhouse with a shower is really nice. An on demand propane heater works well and your only power needs would be some lighting and exhaust fan. Just make sure to put in a way to secure water to the heater and blow air through it before it freezes. There's no way to insulate those and have them still functional. I've tried... 🤨
hmmm. Japanese on demand propane heaters have an electric heater circuit to keep them from freezing in the winter ❄

This is easy to believe.
Eureka! Rereading this tells me exactly what he can do with extra power…. He can use it to charge a FemBot!

Bathing will not matter neither will having only two sets of clothing that never gets washed… and it’s not human so it meets his other needs bout getting space tween him and humans

Ya know, just coming out of a 2 year long divorce where I couldn't go back to work... fembots have a certain appeal... 😉

my advice.. find a LBFM... you will be happier in the long run as all they want is a hard working hubby and lots of kids. (avoid the ones that do not want kids... they been exposed to the wrong side of the western world.)

We live in the woods & the dogs are a great alarm, to the point that we can tell what's approaching the cabin. If it's on 2 legs, the volume and intensity of the barking is different.
