They sell a lot of stuff much cheaper then Amazon and such. Have you bought from AliExpress ?

I’ve never used AliExpress. I’ve used Banggood and the shipments are were painfully slow. Banggood is just as name implies slow shipping with extreme high pricing to ppl in America now. The direct approach has ceased to make it worth while as purchase options.

What are cautions with AliExpress? They sell everything can imagine on AliExpress. Reading the ads is critical… for details.
Amazon buys things at less cost from these sources and marks it up. Direct sales was always best value but places like Banggod went stupid with pricing.
We get stiffed notice the pricing difference for INVERTER voltage types with our voltages vs over seas voltages. Our voltage is lot more.

What is your advice with AliExpress ….

I would go to Alibaba for any big ticket items. You can still get ripped off there, but doesn't seem as common to me as on Aliexpress.

I have bought a number of simple items from Aliexpress with mixed results. PayPal protection got my money back a few times. I haven't bought from there in a while, however, and PayPal has changed their policy about overseas protections..... not sure if it still works like it used to.
There seems to be a lot more predatory companies doing business on Aliexpress than Alibaba.

Bob have been ripped on ebay a few times years ago When ebay and Pay Pal did their merge like deal then pay pal started screwing ppl …. the paypal ebay guarantee went away. A dispute will usually be in favor of seller.

Banggood was ok 8-10 years or so back

Interesting on AliExpress. Criminals are everywhere and it hurts honest ppl selling and ppl buying when criminals scam. I hate a thief. Why hate present govt here.

I am banned on Amazon for comments - cussed some ppl out - sellers…amazon staff They took my comment ability away….of course want my money for prime and business - money flowing their way. I had their credit card but cut it up when they banned me from comments. Imagine them not liking a sensible negative review - they deleted it at sellers request….. so zap …. cussed them like a dog. Banned.

Amazon still sends me emails and such asking to leave comments on purchases. The right hand doesn’t know the left hand restricted me. When someone screws a customer they will protect Amazon as a reflection and thus the seller.

If you don’t buy from amazon often get stiffed but what I do is look for the seller’s website and by-pass amazon. Not been a problem.

Where did you buy cells? I actually want the case and jk bms from aliexpress not the surprise inside the box. They are coming out too. Cells are dropping but because of Biden tariffs to get more money for our broke ass country and from us the prices will go up. You better buy now.

I've bought my JBD BMS and Uni-T thermal Imager from alliexpress with no issues, I've also bought some random cheap items like silicon bench mats and brushes.

Make sure you select the proper option before you add the items to your cart... Lots of initial search results are click bait links with the lowest priced option listed first, I've noticed amazon does the same thing.

I wouldn't buy an inverter or cells from express but have used baba without issue.

This is all I really want from AliExpress but they are slim shady… these guys buy this stuff dirt cheap as complete kit then SOMETIMES disassemble it and sell in pieces to make more money or take parts out of original box - retape box. You can see where items have been disassembled sometimes if you look…banggood was famous. . Same with retape of box. They think they are slick. They are - jacking us for extra money.
$557.19 Now no doubt they will charge ppl more and say “they had to assemble” or open box to combine…. Just what seen with “Banggood.” Sounds like porn movie: “Banggood.”

Not released until Jul 31 2024 so am waiting.
I prefer buy my own cells, charge- top balance, and assembly myself. I don’t trust them.

My experience is not current, it's been at least a years since I bought from either one ..... But, while there are thieves on both platforms, Alibaba has better protections.
When I was buying from them I wouldn't buy unless they accepted PayPal ... but, as mentioned, that has changed. PayPal has been Woke corrupted.
There needs to be other companies .... Right now, probably best to use a credit card on Alibaba and use the credit card protections if things go wrong.
I wouldn't buy cells from Aliexpress .... I'd use one of the trusted providers discussed on various threads and I'm pretty sure all of them are Alibaba, not Aliexpress.

I keep thinking I need to dump Amazon ..... just because of Bezos and Chase ..... but they are still too convenient for some of the supplements I buy online ..... They are good to price check local stores.

Sadly Amazon are like Walmart if don’t use them waste money. As you stated…. PayPal is not what it was when started. I had mostly good luck with Banggood but it is higher than Amazon and long waits …..

If you need anything better grab it now. Everything will jump up in price with coming price increase for solar tariffs.

Some of the stuff I buy IS Swansons, but purchased thru Amazon ..... I'll look into buying from them direct if they can supply most of what I need.
I try to limit the number of places that have my credit card info ..... less likely to be hacked. Also have 1 card with a low limit that I use for online purchases.
