hi all am new here :) am changing all of my set up in my work van . am up grading my setup from 2x 110ah leisure batteries. with a ctek 20a split charge and 200w solar with a 1000w inverter and a 100amp bm1 battery monitor. and for the new set up 4 x 120ah leisure batteries with a ctek 140a split charge to 300w solar and a victron 2000va smart inverter but i dont know if my old shunt is any good for new set up or what one to get if needed thanks for any help

Welcome to the forum.

Assuming 12V:

2000W/12V = 167A

If 24V, half that.

yes 12v 2000va with prob a surge of 4000va . i do use my set up for tool at work sometime but most of the time camping with low power use

Per the above, 2000W/12V = 167A - that's your max continuous, but you should never run continuously higher than 66-80% (manufs differ) of the shunt rating. You don't size for surge. They can handle it for those brief periods.

The ebay shunt has a 300A version. If that's the one you got, that's more than 167A or 167/.67 = 249A

Can't go wrong with the smartshunt. Only complaint I've heard is short bluetooth range.

yes its the 300a one ive got coming just been put off by the small price lol thanks for ya help with all this
