What solar panel for my pump?

Hi, I have a 12V 15W water pump which I only want to work when the sun is on the solar panel.

I presume you just connect the live and negative to the solar panel from the pump?

What type of solar panel do I need?

Solar panels are new to me, I only have solar LED's in my garden lol.

Depends if you just want the pump to work in the middle of the day (20W panel might do), or for 'most' of the day.
A nominal 12V panel in the 40~60W range would be my choice, then use a DC-DC regulator set to 12V as the panel is capable of ~21V
