My Sunny Boy 2kw inverter is dead. It was made in 2006. What can I replace it with? With this inverter? Or with this inverter? Any other suggestions? Is installation straightforward or do I need to hire an electrician?

Can I get my Sunny Boy rebuilt? A new inverter seems to be cheaper.

Upgrading to a bigger inverter doesn't make sense as I don't have a lot of room for more panels. I have big trees around my house.

I think a Growatt

5kW 48V - MPPT 100A - SPF5000-ES - Growatt

like this is for your system Good you can add an Batterysystem and add some Panels if you want.

What are the specs on your solar array? Voc Imp? I'd start by looking another SMA on eBay. There's a fair amount of them there.
