Which design is better for 24v (bus bars)?

I still don't necessarily understand the point of bus bars beyond organization.
A few questions
1. Both drawings show 2s2p batteries outputting 24 volt to inverter, correct?
2. Are both acceptable designs (minus fuses that I didn't include in this quick mock up)?
3. Is the drawing on the left preferred? If so, why? What do the bus bars do that makes it a preferred solution?

Also.. I need two battery balancers to bridge each series connection, correct?
Like these? https://a.co/d/7FUhJ4q
How would that be wired? It looks like the 24V to POS, the common to either the positive on battery 1 or negative on battery 2 on the series connection, and the 0v to Negative (bypassing bus bars)? Where are the alarm and reset supposed to be going? What kind of amperage is going over those (what size wire do I need to use)?

*I don't know why it would be pertinent information to this question but there are 2s2p panels sending 800 watts to controller (Eventually 3s3p).*
Thanks guys!!

Yep.

Nope. Terribad unless you cross connect your devices, i.e., inverter (+) from one string and inverter (-) to other string. Same for MPPT.

3. Is the drawing on the left preferred? If so, why? What do the bus bars do that makes it a preferred solution?

Yep, but you need equal length cables joining batteries to bus bars.

If lead acid, sure.

If LFP, no.

Direct to battery, per string:

It is. Your 100/50 will only output 50A, so 50A * 27.2 = 1360W max.

If your panels are 200W and you eventually put 9 on there, you will be over-paneled. This may be okay as long as 3S3P array total Isc is under 60A, and you are okay with over-paneling.
