I still don't necessarily understand the point of bus bars beyond organization.
A few questions
1. Both drawings show 2s2p batteries outputting 24 volt to inverter, correct?
2. Are both acceptable designs (minus fuses that I didn't include in this quick mock up)?
3. Is the drawing on the left preferred? If so, why? What do the bus bars do that makes it a preferred solution?
Also.. I need two battery balancers to bridge each series connection, correct?
Like these? https://a.co/d/7FUhJ4q
How would that be wired? It looks like the 24V to POS, the common to either the positive on battery 1 or negative on battery 2 on the series connection, and the 0v to Negative (bypassing bus bars)? Where are the alarm and reset supposed to be going? What kind of amperage is going over those (what size wire do I need to use)?
*I don't know why it would be pertinent information to this question but there are 2s2p panels sending 800 watts to controller (Eventually 3s3p).*
Thanks guys!!
