For the charts Im making now, I understand most inverters that support the MT-50 remote display will work. Basically the Pi replaces the display and reads the raw values from the inverter using ModBus and Python. It then loads this ASCII data into a Prometheus database which is read by Grafana...

I realize this is kinda abandoned but the guy referred to on You Tube with LV5048 s and Raspberry Pie info is DMI IMC and here is a link to one of his videos about monitoring . I think there are 2 or 3 videos at least some info about it and

LV2424 and LV5048, both can grid tie

Btw @BarkingSpider do you have a youtube channel?, before i was watching a guy building an impresive setup with a bunch of battery packs inside tool boxes, using simillar monitoring system.

I know this is old post but the you tube channel you are talking about is DMI INC . here is a link to one of the videos about raspberry pi . I think there are 2 or3 about it. They start around May or June. He moved because HOA wouldn't allow him to mount panels and he is just getting started back at ne location in Georgia.
