I am putting together a system and I am trying to use Will's guide. Since I am considering 4 inverters I wanted to understand the lengths of wires he suggests. He suggests 15ft of 6awg black and white, and 30 feet of 10awg green.
My two questions are, when it looks like he uses maybe 10feet of AC wiring for two inverters, why so much more green? And why so much black and white in teh first place.
I did see that for black THHN there was a discount where you can get a 15ft precut bag that is cheaper than 10 feet by the foot. I don't see white but if Wills store had those then 15ft makes sense. But why does he need twice as much green if the runs should be essentially the same distance except maybe for a few inches here and there in the panel.
I think I'll just mount the inverters, measure what I need then go buy it but I thought maybe I was misunderstanding something.
