Hi y'all! I found someone willing to sell me there new Tesla Powerwall 2. I'm new to solar, and am spec'ing an off-grid system for my 1953 20' Clipper Trailer. The Powerwall 2 has a 50v battery, specs. The MPP LV5048 has a max float output of 58.4v with a 48v standard, specs. Are there other specs I need to consider that may make them non-compatible? Thanks!

I have not heard of anyone successfully hacking a Powerwall. It is more than a battery. It has an inverter, a gateway and communication with Tesla. That is a good question for the teslamotrsclub.com forum.

The question I would ask if you already have an inverter is what is the cost per kWh for a Powerwall battery capacity versus DIY LFP cells.
