Green is battery current. This is for low freq inverter. High Freq inverter will not have the negative battery current for poor AC load power factor, it will flatline near zero current for the short backwash period .

Little side association, a battery monitor for current requires heavy filtering (low freq cutoff filter corner freq) to average out the 120 Hz ripple current. Typical low pass filter has a 1 or 2 Hz cut off frequency. These days it is often averaged digitally in the microcontroller.
