Wire Ferrules?

Can you use Ferrules on stranded AC connection like #8 or #6 in the US, or are they only to b used on DC fine wire cables?
AC vs DC has nothing to do with it in the common case.
NEC regulations might though.
Ferrules are most useful on fine stranded wire.
If you have something like this
which is only 7 strands up to 2 awg then ferrules are probably not helpful.

Yes for my installation. As per the inverter instructions, I am installing 8 AWG cord end terminals on the line and Neutral connectors before inserting and tightening with a set screw,

For the third wire, the ground is secured with a #6 screw as per the instructions.

I've worked on UL listed equipment that has ferrules on internal AC connections.
