This may be a jury-rigged solution while waiting a replacement for a defective cell.
One of my 16 cells was mechanically damaged and I should get a replacement in 3 months, while waiting I’m wondering if it’s wise to connect the floating BMS terminal on one of the cells. It means one cell may have two BMS terminals and adjust my pack charging and discharging voltage accordingly.

Many BMS are designed to only handle a single # of cells. Unless you know your specific BMS is designed to handle multiple cell counts, i.e., it was marketed that way, and any technical literature supports it, it probably won't work.

It probably won't hurt to try, but I would not expect the desired outcome.

Thanks for your reply, the BMS specifications say nothing about it but I will give a try maybe it will work.
