I have 3 220 Watt 20V external panels for my Van. The van has 8AWG wiring to an SAE connection. My plan is to replace the SAE with an Anderson style connector and use a 25' extension cable to my panels. I can't seem to find the specifical cables I want (25' 8AWG Anderson ends, 3-way Parallel cable with Anderson connectors). I found a good deal on a 25' with PV ends, figured I'd cut those off and crimp ends for an Anderson Plug. But the 3-way I'm not sure about. I figured I'd make my own with 8AWG wire and crimp the 3 wires together for the joined side. Anyone see any issues with this? Or maybe know of a better solution for me?
I want the Anderson style instead of PV for ease of connection/disconnection. And I want Anderson over SAE for the higher current.
Thanks!
